چکیده
Globally, malaria remains one of the most common and serious infectious diseases. Table 1 lists some points about malaria with which practitioners of acute general medicine should be familiar. This article aims to provide physic ians with an update on the current management of malaria in adults and older children, as practised in the UK. Chemoprophylaxis, management of young children, and the treatment of malaria in tropical settings are not covered.
